What is the difference between Posts and Pages in WordPress?

1. Pages are actually static pages which dont change unless edited.
    Eg : About page, Services, Contact us Pages etc
    Posts apear in a blog, they are meant to be written on regular basis. The main idea of having posts is to keep the site fresh with new contents.

 
2. Pages are meant to be forever , whereas Posts are something that is timely updated.

3. Pages are hierarchichal in structure whereas Posts can be categorized.

4. Posts are included in RSS feed whereas Pages are not.

5. Posts are availble socially, where visitors can comment on it, whereas  pages are not meant for that.
